Those who worship at Woodlawn Hills church of Christ have been drawn to God by His truth and love. We have learned of Him through His Holy Word, the Bible, and have faith that His word is true and that all His promises are sure; even His promise of eternal life to all those who believe on His Son and walk according to His commandments.
We delight in Him as we find His truths to be beautiful, good, just, loving and pure. Our joy brings us to worship Him and to give thanks for the love He has shown us. As David said, “I was glad when they said, ‘Come, let us go up to the house of the Lord to worship” (Ps. 122:1).
We assemble not just as believers in Him, but believers also that the Bible is His authentic word, and that it contains His complete message to mankind. Therefore, we accept it as our only authority in all spiritual matters. We not only strive to live our personal lives according to Bible instructions and examples, but we also structure our worship and all that we do in the same manner.
